Dextra’s engineering expertise and innovative products played a pivotal role in the construction of the Industrial Bridge in Chile. As part of the project, Dextra supplied its 罗尔泰克 mechanical splice system, ensuring robust and reliable rebar connections. Additionally, 有头酒吧 were provided to enhance anchorage performance, a critical requirement for the bridge’s structural integrity.

The project also utilized 索尼泰克 crosshole sonic logging (CSL) testing tubes, facilitating thorough integrity testing of concrete piles, ensuring long-term safety and performance. These advanced solutions reflect Dextra’s commitment to supporting complex infrastructure projects with high-quality, tailored products.

Tanger Med 2 is the expansion of Tanger Med, a multipurpose deep-water seaport located a few kilometers east of Tangier, Morocco, facing Gibraltar.

The port expansion aims to increase the yearly capacity of the largest port in Africa by 5.2 million containers.

For this large infrastructure project, Dextra supported contractor Bouygues with a rebar splicing solution for the reinforcement of the caissons.

Dextra supplied its 罗尔泰克 solution, which is AFCAB-certified, a requirement for this project. Two Rolltec machines were installed to support the threading activities, completing 360,000 threads in total (180,000 Rolltec couplers).

The couplers were used in the reinforcement of the caissons, which were as tall as 20 to 24 meters. The couplers provided:

  • Temporary openings to solve congestion issues in the reinforcement within the caisson, creating safe passages for men and equipment during the installation phase.
  • Horizontal wall-to-slab connections (from the inside of the caisson perimeter to the slab). For this application, couplers were left pending, allowing the slip form to go up.

The Belo Monte Dam is a hydroelectric dam built on the Xingu River in the state of Pará, northern Brazil. Upon its inauguration, it will become the second-largest dam in Brazil and the fourth-largest in the world, with a total maximum capacity of 11,233 MW.

For this major dam project, Dextra Do Brasil continuously delivered to contractors its Rolltec 机械钢筋拼接 2011年至2016年间的解决方案。

Rolltec is the most popular rebar splicing solution in Brazil, offering a competitive alternative to lap splices.

A total of 250,000 couplers have been used in the Belo Monte Dam, incorporated across all parts of the structure.

Rebar preparation is supported by a unique lightweight machine, which can be operated by a single person.

The Rolltec machine is relatively easy to transport and convenient to install, even in remote locations such as dam construction sites.

The Main Causeway across the Kuwait Bay is a 36-km-long project currently being built north of Kuwait City. It will ultimately be connected to Doha Link, another sea link project west of Kuwait City, which will connect the Jaber Causeway sea link, one of the largest civil engineering projects ever built in the Middle East.

The main causeway across Kuwait Bay stretches north of Kuwait City. It is expected that the link will greatly contribute to the development of the northern part of Kuwait. To achieve that, the Causeway will literally cut across Kuwait Bay with a 27-km sea link.

For the visible part of the sea link, Dextra worked with contractor Hyundai to offer high-tensile post-tensioning bar solutions.

For part of the sea link, which is topped by a metallic cable-stayed structure. Higher performance bars in Grade 1050/1200 were used to offer a vertical anchoring point between the pylon and the reinforcement of the pile. PT Bars were delivered with a full corrosion protection accessory set by Dextra so that the bars will resist the marine conditions.

For the concrete integrity testing of the onshore and offshore foundation piles, Dextra supplied around 400,000 linear meters of Sonitec tubes, which are easy to set up and reconnect without the need for welding, which significantly increases the productivity of the pile assemblies.
