ICONSIAM, located on the right bank of the Chao Phraya River in western Bangkok, is a multipurpose commercial and residential complex consisting of two high-rise buildings and a shopping mall. This massive development aims to restore the glamour of the Chao Phraya River’s waterfront.

The two towers are expected to reach heights of 280 meters (SuperLux Tower) and 315 meters (Magnolia Tower), respectively. Upon completion, Magnolia Tower will surpass King Power Mahanakhon Tower, which has been Thailand’s tallest building since 2015.

Dextra is supplying Thai-Obayashi (the contractor for the shopping mall structure) and Italian-Thai (the contractor for both towers) with its 巴特克 rebar splicing solution.

To ensure maximum efficiency in thread production, Dextra engineers have conducted operator training and provided on-site preventive maintenance.

This is a typical application used in foundation diaphragm walls (D-Walls) to avoid protruding rebar. It is also used in the superstructure, allowing the sliding formwork to climb without obstruction.

Substitution of hooked bars with Headed Bars

When the wall reinforcement is especially congested, the use of 有头酒吧 (also called end anchors) allows for anchoring the reinforcement in the wall without the need for hooks.
