The Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project is located on Curtis Island, Gladstone, Queensland, Australia. It involves the conversion of coal seam gas (CSG) reserves into liquefied natural gas (LNG), as well as the expansion of CSG exploration and development in southern and central Queensland.

The project encompasses multiple components, including gas fields, pipelines, an LNG plant, a swing basin and channel, and shipping operations. Construction began in late 2010.

Dextra contributed to the project by delivering 307 tons of แถบผูกทางทะเล and accessories in Grade 460. These tie bars serve as anchorage for the anchor walls of the marine offloading facility.

Bang Pakong Power Plant is Thailand’s first power plant to use natural gas from the Gulf of Thailand as its primary fuel source.

Located on the left bank of the Bang Pakong River in Chachoengsao Province, the plant comprises both thermal units and combined cycle blocks, with a total capacity of 2,490 MW.

The plant was built to compensate for the loss of power-generating capacity following the decommissioning of the 1,050 MW Bang Pakong Combined Cycle Power Plant in 2014.

Dextra’s Contribution to the Project:

Dextra supplied a wide range of บาร์เทค rebar couplers, ranging in size from 12 mm to 32 mm, for the construction of the plant’s cooling tower and combined cycle blocks. These couplers were used to reinforce and connect precast columns and precast beams.

Additionally, กรูเทค couplers were installed in precast columns, providing a fast and efficient connection to the foundation at the construction site. Once the precast columns were lifted and placed into position, the embedded couplers were injected with grout, ensuring a secure and reliable connection.

The Dunkirk LNG Terminal is a new natural gas facility built in northern France. The project is owned by EDF (France’s main energy company), Fluxys, and Total. The terminal facilitates the importation of liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is transported at an ultra-low temperature of -163°C. It plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for natural gas in France and Belgium, supplying 20% of the total national consumption of these two European markets. It is the second-largest LNG terminal in continental Western Europe.

For this major energy infrastructure project, Dextra collaborated with Bouygues Travaux Publics to supply กริปเทค, Dextra’s most advanced rebar splicing solution. Dextra provided the กริปเทค sleeves, while our local network of fabricators handled bar end preparation.

กริปเทค was used in the following key applications:

• Three reservoir external walls: Installed in vertical applications to reinforce structural integrity.
• Congested areas: กริปเทค Headed Bars were used as a substitute for hook bars, optimizing space and reducing congestion.
• Temporary openings: กริปเทค was also applied in various parts of the project to create temporary openings, facilitating the movement of personnel and equipment through the reinforcement.

The Port of Fujairah, located in the emirate of Fujairah on the Gulf of Oman, is the only multi-purpose deep-sea port on the eastern seaboard of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Strategically positioned 130 km south of the Strait of Hormuz, it serves as a crucial gateway for international trade and energy exports.

Dextra was involved in the expansion of the port between 2007 and 2008.

Oil Terminal 2 (OT2)

For the new Oil Terminal 2 (OT2), Dextra engineered and supplied the Marine Tie Bar systems used for the anchoring of the Main Quay walls.
More than 1,400 tons of tie bars were provided for this large-scale project.

In 2008, Dextra also engineered and supplied Marine Tie Bar systems for the anchoring of the Tugs Jetty, Craft Docks, and Main Quay Wall. Short มารีนไทบาร์ assemblies were installed between King Pile Walls.
To facilitate transportation and installation, high-performance Grade 700 steel was selected, allowing for a higher level of performance with relatively smaller diameters.

Petronas RAPID (Refinery And Petrochemical Integrated Development) is a large-scale petrochemical complex located in the southernmost part of Johor, Malaysia, across the sea from Singapore.

Commissioned in 2016, the RAPID development aims to increase local production capacity by 300,000 barrels per day, making it a strategic asset for the Malaysian peninsula.

For this project, Dextra supplied its บาร์เทค system for the construction of precast pipe racks across the site. A total of 30,000 บาร์เทค เหล็กเสริมปลายหัวขยาย (Headed Bars) were used to create horizontal anchoring points for pipe rack beams.

To support the project, a บาร์เทค machine was installed directly on-site and commissioned by the Dextra team, ensuring efficient bar preparation and seamless integration into the construction process.
