Designed to securely reconnect rebars that have been damaged or shortened during pile trimming, restoring structural integrity without the need for rework or welding.
Non-threaded rebar
Connects bars not initially prepared for splicing, addressing challenges such as design changes, construction package interfaces, and rebar congestion.

Unitec® is a bolted splicing system designed to connect two rebars that have not been previously prepared (no threading required). Each Unitec coupler features a long hollow body that bonds with the rebar, while several screws lock both bar ends to complete the connection. Unitec is designed to be installed using a standard impact or pneumatic wrench.
The RepairGrip system is a portable solution designed to splice bars in situ. It provides a simple, proven method for splicing bars that have not had their ends prepared in the shop.
The RepairGrip sleeve is swaged onto the bar ends using a hydraulic tool powered by a separate power unit. The resulting connection guarantees at least 100% of the nominal tensile strength for reinforcing bars with a grade of 500 MPa.
RepairGrip splices are butt-to-butt splices, suitable for both tension and compression applications.
Maintaining and upgrading essential infrastructure is a major concern across the world. The need for repair and strengthening may arise from deterioration, changes in use, updates to design codes, structural defects, or seismic conditions.
ASTEC Carbon Rod provides a non-metallic reinforcing bar with high modulus and tensile strength. It can be used for both new construction and as a strengthening material in the innovative and proven technique known as Near Surface Mount (NSM) strengthening.
With a proprietary end anchorage, ASTEC Carbon Rod can also be used in unbonded post-tensioning or prestressing applications.
