This confirmation, detailed in ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-5501, provides essential guidance to code officials, engineers, and contractors for approving the use of Durabar+ in accordance with these standards. The evaluation follows the Acceptance Criteria for Fiber-reinforced Polymer (FRP) Bars and Meshes for Internal Reinforcement of Non-structural Concrete Members (AC521).

The European Technical Assessment (ETA) is a prestigious voluntary certification issued under the framework of the European Organisation for Technical Assessment (EOTA). In this case, the certification was granted by the Deutsche Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt), a leading authority in the field.

Achieving this certification involved a comprehensive and meticulous evaluation process conducted by the highly regarded engineering firm, IPU Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH. As part of the assessment, extensive full-scale testing was carried out at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), one of Europe’s foremost research institutions. These tests confirmed that the Dextra Tension Rod System meets the stringent requirements of EAD 200032-00-0602. The results validated the system’s exceptional reliability, performance, and compliance with European standards.
