Dextra teams have united again for a good cause! The pink runners from Dextra’s Bangkok Factory and Headquarter office have joined a charity run in favor of the Thai Liver Association on Sunday 9th of October. The event took place at Suan Luang Rama IX park, a large green space located a few kilometers away from Dextra’s main factory.
Congratulations to the Dextra team for completing this challenge and successfully raising awareness and donations for the Thai Liver Foundation.
This October, Dextra China celebrated the 20th anniversary of Dextra presence in Guangzhou, where is located our main Chinese production facility. Employees have celebrated the company’s anniversary during a 3-days outing in Huizhou in the province of Guangdong. This year celebrations were completed by a special family day with all families invited to join the event.
In accordance with Dextra Guangzhou’s mission and values, people-minded and caring organization, this special anniversary was also an opportunity for the teams to raise funds in favor a children charity action which will provide tuitions to 50 children until 2019.

ASTEC Active Anchors have been installed by Franki Foundations & Atlas Foundations for stabilizing excavation works of the Bagneux station (Metro M4 extension and future M15), in the North of Paris. The solution has been approved for this project by engineering consulting firm SYSTRA.
ASTEC Active Anchors are the preferred solution for subway stations works as Tunnel Boring Machine and standard earth-moving equipment can simply cut anchors’ FRP tendons at any stage, removing all needs of unreliable anchors pull out.
After numerous successful projects in the Middle East, this was the first time ASTEC Active Anchors were installed in Europe.

Groutec couplers, used for the swift connection of precast elements either to a footing or directly to another precast element. On Dream Acres, Groutec couplers advantageously splice load-bearing wall panels together, ensuring a high performance connection and speeding up installation compared to more traditional wet in-situ joint methods.
Bartec couplers, the high-performance rebar splicing solution is based on two Bartec-threaded bars and a Bartec coupler. Bartec is used across Dream Acres for cast-in-place applications as well as inside the precast elements.
Rebar preparation services. Dextra India takes in charge the rebar preparation operations using Bartec equipment which is engineered and manufactured by Dextra. Rebar with Bartec-threaded ends are delivered directly to Sobha according to their schedule. Same bars can be used indifferently with Bartec couplers or Groutec couplers as the two solutions take advantage of the same thread system.

Two teams of 5 runners mixing members of Dextra Guanghzou factory и Hong Kong offices have lined up at the start of Hong Kong’s Peak24 race.
This annual 24-miles race raises awareness and funds to fight against modern days human trafficking. As 35 million children and adults are considered to be enslaved around the world today, including in South East Asia, raising awareness of the public opinion is key to promote ethical consumption alternatives and push governments to put an end to those illegal and barbaric practices.

Autodesk recently released the latest version of Revit, its main 3D drawing and architectural software. 2017 version of the app now includes a new rebar couplers and end anchors tool, directly available from the tool bar.
To support this new feature, Dextra released all its coupler range in Revit Product Family format so it is now very simple to browse and insert couplers into your structure.

On the 24th of March 2016, Tunnel Boring Machine successfully broke through Dextra ASTEC Soft Eyes in d-wall of Wang Burapha Station (Burapha/Charoen Krung rd.). Soft Eyes are temporary structures made of cut-able GFRP bars that allow TBMs to pass through, saving much efforts and time for the tunnel creation. More information about ASTEC Soft Eyes.
The tower which will soon become the highest building in the world is currently being built in Saudi Arabia. Jeddah Tower (previously called Kingdom Tower) is expected to break the one-kilometer mark, making it 180 meters higher than the Burj Khalifa Tower in Dubai. The tower structure has been engineered by consulting firm Thornton Tomasetti and is built by contractor Saudi Bin Laden.
Jeddah Tower will ultimately host a 200-rooms Four Seasons hotel, service apartments, several floors of offices and an observatory. A total of 59 elevators will allow visitors to move between floors.
To support this engineering prowess, Dextra is proudly delivering Bartec Couplers for both foundations and superstructure packages of the Jeddah Tower. Two main types of Bartec couplers are used: Standard and Bridging Assemblies.
