The construction of the Rail Baltica Bridge over the Neris River near Jonava marks a significant milestone in the region’s railway infrastructure. Dextra plays a vital role in ensuring the structural integrity of the bridge by supplying Sonitec crosshole sonic logging (CSL) testing tubes for the testing of piles. CSL testing is a crucial procedure that provides real-time insights into the quality and integrity of concrete in the piles, ensuring they meet stringent safety standards. Dextra has played a key role in the construction of the My Enso Lofts condominium project in Quezon, Philippines, by supplying cutting-edge reinforcement solutions. For this high-rise development, Dextra provided Bartec rebar splicing systems for the raft foundation, columns, and core walls, ensuring robust structural integrity and efficient load transfer across these critical elements.

Additionally, Dextra supplied Groutec S couplers for the precast shear wall and column connections. These couplers are designed for rapid assembly, which accelerated the construction timeline and enhanced the project’s overall structural stability.

The Chennai Metro Phase 2 project is set to redefine urban transportation in one of India’s largest cities, promising enhanced connectivity and efficiency. Playing a pivotal role in the success of this ambitious project, Dextra has supplied an array of cutting-edge construction solutions to meet the project’s demanding structural and safety requirements.

Ensuring Robust Connections with Bartec Rebar Couplers

Dextra supplied nearly 2 million Bartec rebar couplers, essential for creating secure connections across various structural components. These couplers have been utilized extensively in the connections for diaphragm wall (d-wall) caging and slabs, pile cages, piers, and pier caps. By ensuring high-strength rebar connections, Bartec couplers contribute to the overall durability and resilience of the metro structure, particularly important in a densely populated and busy urban environment like Chennai.

Precision Testing with Sonitec CSL Testing Tubes

To ensure the highest standards of concrete integrity, Dextra provided over 80,000 Sonitec crosshole sonic logging (CSL) testing tubes. These tubes facilitate rigorous testing of piles and d-walls, helping to identify potential flaws within the concrete structure. This meticulous testing process enables project engineers to detect and address any irregularities, safeguarding the integrity and longevity of the metro’s foundations.

Supporting Complex Structures with CR Bar 1080 Post-Tensioning Bars

For the support of double-decker piers and the pre-tensioning of U-girders, Dextra supplied 68 CR Bar 1080 post-tensioning bars. These high-strength, fully threaded bars are critical in handling the complex loads and stresses that the elevated sections of the metro will endure. The inclusion of these bars ensures that the metro can withstand heavy traffic and operational demands over time, contributing to the long-term safety and functionality of the infrastructure.

Facilitating Tunnel Boring with GFRP Soft-Eyes

In the tunneling phase, Dextra also provided 42 GFRP soft-eyes, specifically designed for tunnel boring machine (TBM) operations. These soft-eyes allow TBMs to pass through concrete walls smoothly, ensuring safe and efficient tunneling while reducing the risk of structural damage. GFRP’s non-corrosive properties make it an ideal choice for underground construction, where durability and performance are paramount.

O Mumbai Metro Line 2B, an essential link connecting several key areas of the city, is a significant infrastructure project aimed at alleviating Mumbai’s traffic congestion and providing efficient public transport. As part of this ambitious project, Dextra has made a valuable contribution, supplying engineered construction materials to ensure the durability and reliability of the structure.

CR Bar 1080 for U-Girder Stressing and Pre-Tensioning

One of the critical components of the project is the elevated section of the metro, which relies on U-girders for support. To enhance the strength and resilience of these U-girders, Dextra supplied its innovative CR Bar 1080 cold-rolled fully threaded post-tensioning bars. These bars, with a diameter of 75mm, are specifically designed to withstand high stress during both U-girder stressing and pre-tensioning operations. The hexagonal nuts provided as part of the system allow for secure fastening and easy adjustment, ensuring precise tensioning to meet the structural demands.

 

Fully Threaded (FT) Bar for Segment Stitching and Temporary Stressing

For segment stitching and temporary stressing operations during the construction of the metro viaduct, Dextra supplied its fully threaded (FT) bars. These bars provide secure connections between precast segments and offer flexibility for adjustments during the stitching process, ensuring that the structural alignment is perfect before the segments are permanently joined.

Unitec Couplers for Rebar Connections

In addition, Dextra supplied Unitec couplers, designed for connecting rebars at construction sites without the need for pre-threading. These couplers offer a convenient and robust solution, allowing for seamless connection of two rebars, ensuring structural continuity and strength without delays in the construction process.

Sonitec CSL Testing Tubes for Concrete Pile Integrity

In addition to supplying post-tensioning bars, Dextra also provided Sonitec Crosshole Sonic Logging (CSL) testing tubes for the integrity testing of the concrete piles supporting the metro structures. These tubes enable highly accurate non-destructive testing of the concrete, allowing engineers to detect any potential flaws or weaknesses in the piles. This testing is vital for ensuring the piles meet the necessary strength and quality standards, thereby supporting the entire metro system safely and effectively.

Areias da Marina Bay

Marina Bay Sands é um resort espetacular com mais de 2.500 quartos, um cassino, muitos restaurantes e um jardim panorâmico exclusivo. O projeto foi concluído e aberto ao público em 2010.

Para este projeto, a Dextra forneceu entre 2007 e 2008 soluções para emendas de reforço, além de tubos Sonitec.

Os acopladores de vergalhões Bartec foram utilizados nas fundações das Paredes Diafragma, respondendo a um duplo desafio.

Os primeiros acopladores de vergalhão podem ser usados verticalmente para conectar as gaiolas D-Wall, permitindo obter maior comprimento da gaiola.

Então os acopladores também podem ser usados horizontalmente como conexões pendentes para lajes. Nesse caso, o acoplador geralmente é instalado em barras de gancho e moldado em concreto. Numa fase posterior, o acoplador pode ser reconectado com a armadura da segunda fase para iniciar o reforço da laje.

Acopladores também foram usados para túneis subterrâneos e edifícios de ventilação.

Para as fundações, a Dextra também forneceu mais de 100.000 metros lineares de tubos Sonitec, que são fáceis de montar em gaiolas de reforço e reconectar, aumentando a produtividade e eliminando a necessidade de operações de soldagem tediosas e pouco confiáveis. Depois de instalados, os tubos ficam firmemente no lugar, suportando sem problemas o levantamento e o manuseio da gaiola.

O Aeroporto de Dubai é o principal aeroporto dos Emirados Árabes Unidos. O famoso aeroporto, localizado a poucos quilômetros ao norte da cidade de Dubai, abriga a famosa companhia aérea Emirates. O Aeroporto Internacional de Dubai é o aeroporto #1 do mundo em termos de tráfego internacional de passageiros.

A Dextra Middle-East, também localizada em Dubai, esteve envolvida em vários pacotes de construção do Aeroporto de Dubai, especialmente entre 2003 e 2005, para a construção do Terminal 3 e saguões associados.

Para o Projeto Interno de Dubai, a Dextra forneceu seu popular
Bartec solução de acoplador, solução de acoplador de vergalhão #1 nos Emirados Árabes Unidos. 1,5 milhão de acopladores foram usados no Aeroporto Internacional de Dubai.

Superestrutura

Os acopladores Bartec forneceram uma solução técnica para permitir a reconexão da armadura da segunda fase entre pilares e vigas, e entre paredes e vigas.

Também foram utilizados acopladores de vergalhão para criar aberturas temporárias na armadura, permitindo a passagem de pessoas e equipamentos.

Fundações

Foram utilizados acopladores Bartec para as estacas de fundação. Para essa aplicação, os acopladores passaram a fazer parte de um processo de fabricação de gaiolas muito integrado e automatizado, permitindo conectar vergalhões de grande diâmetro em um tempo mínimo e maximizando o rendimento da produção de gaiolas.

Como complemento à solução de acoplador de vergalhão Bartec, foram utilizados tubos Dextra Sonitec para garantir rápida instalação e reconexão dos tubos sônicos ao longo de todo o comprimento da gaiola. Os tubos Sonitec são especialmente fáceis de instalar, graças à sua boca de borracha Push-Fit, e fáceis de montar na gaiola graças às suas cabeças soldadas. Mais de 1.800.000 metros de tubos Sonitec foram instalados no Aeroporto Internacional de Dubai ao longo dos anos!

Banguecoque BTS

O Sistema de Transporte de Massa de Bangkok (BTS) é um grande sistema urbano de skytrain localizado em Bangkok, capital da Tailândia. O sistema foi inaugurado em 1999.

A partir de 2017, o sistema consiste em 24 estações elevadas e 37 km de trilhos elevados organizados em duas linhas principais que se cruzam na estação central do Sião.

O sistema BTS está passando por uma extensão de suas duas linhas principais, com segmentos de linha e estações previstas para entrar em operação em 2019 e 2020.

Fundações

Para vários pacotes ao longo dos anos, a Dextra forneceu tubos Sonitec, que são usados para testar as fundações de estacas de concreto abaixo das estações e dos trilhos.

No total, a Dextra forneceu aproximadamente 40 mil metros lineares de tubos Sonitec, distância na verdade equivalente ao comprimento do próprio sistema BTS.

Para conexões de barras verticais em postes, a Dextra ofereceu seus
Bartec conexão.
Bartec permite emendar convenientemente gaiolas de vergalhões pré-fabricadas usando um simples acoplador de vergalhões, permitindo economia de aço em comparação com a sobreposição e acelerando as operações no local.

Na Tailândia, a operação de rosqueamento é suportada pela fábrica da Dextra, convenientemente localizada no Nordeste de Bankgok. Os empreiteiros recebem o vergalhão já preparado e montado com seu acoplador de vergalhão.
