Oman Botanic Garden
The Oman Botanic Garden is a project located on 423 hectares in Muscat, Oman, aiming to cultivate, study and conserve Oman’s native flora in a sustainable way, and to illustrate the plant-related cultural traditions of the country.
The garden will showcase the native plant species in a series of created habitats, from the dry deserts to the rich monsoon cloud forests.
Dextra supplied sonic tubes for Cross Sonic Logging test to determine the structural integrity and homogeneity of concrete within bored piles, drilled 17-30 meters deep into the ground at the garden building site.
The 20,000 tubes were installed with ease thanks to their enlarged bell-mouth design that allows fast and seamless connections.
Once completed, the Oman Botanic Garden will be one of the largest botanic gardens in the world.
