The Key Rama 3, Thailand
The Key Rama 3 is a 484-unit high-rise condominium by Land & Houses, offering unit sizes ranging from 29 to 61 square meters. The project is located near the Chao Phraya River on Rama 3 Road, approximately 12 km from Charoen Krung Intersection to Na Ranong Junction in Klong Toei, Bangkok, Thailand.
The condominium is constructed entirely from precast concrete, with no cast-in-place concrete used for its main structural elements.
This construction method required fewer workers and reduced the use of materials such as rebars and concrete on-site, leading to a shorter construction period and fewer complaints from the neighboring community regarding noise and waste.
Grouted mechanical sleeves were used to connect the precast elements, with Dextra Groutec couplers playing a key role in the process. These couplers were installed inside the shear walls and bearing walls.
“The half-grouted mechanism of Groutec L and Groutec S sleeves, which feature a threaded end on one side, ensured accuracy and minimized mistakes during the grouting process,” said Mr. Janeboon Leepipatnavit, Project Director of Taveeporn Technology Co., Ltd., the project’s contractor.
Mr. Janeboon further stated that Dextra is a reliable company with its own facilities in Thailand, providing immediate support when required.
