The Circle Line (CCL) is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Singapore. The 35km, 30-station line runs from Dhoby Ghaut to Marina Bay in the Central Area to HarbourFront.

In 2013, the Circle Line stage 6 was announced, a 4km extension to finally close the circle of the CCL by connecting HarbourFront station to Marina Bay station.

Well-known expertise and quality in concrete reinforcement solutions were necessary to tackle this project, and Dextra’s バーテック couplers were chosen for several parts of the Circle Line structure, including starter bars, slabs, and column joints.

Moreover, デクストラ provided 3,000m of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) rebars, that can boast some key benefits with respect to metal rebars: a lighter weight, no risk of corrosion, and a lower susceptibility to attract lightning strikes.

On top of that, デクストラ was entrusted with the reinforcement of the concrete structure of the tunnels: 8 Astec Soft-Eyes were used to facilitate the penetration of the Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) through diaphragm walls, thanks to their innovative cuttable GFRP structure.

The Forest City project is expected to fuel the region’s economy, as well as Singapore, as light rail and road links will ultimately make the connection across the island state.

デクストラ has been involved since the early phases of the project for the supply of its グルーテックS precast solution. グルーテック allow the swift connection of precast columns and panels, without the need of in situ joints, speeding up the construction project. For the Forest City Project,

The Forest City project is supported by the installation at site of several sets of バーテック threading equipment, which prepare the bars with threads in order to perform the connection with the top part of the グルーテックS sleeve. The Dextra aftersales team also provided training and support in order to guarantee high production output during the project duration.

AVE Palencia-Santander high-speed rail project is a significant infrastructure undertaking aimed at connecting Palencia and Santander in Spain. This project involves the construction of extensive railway networks, viaducts, and bridges, underscoring the need for a strong and resilient foundation. Recognising the critical importance of ensuring the structural integrity of the concrete piles, the project management sought advanced testing methodologies.

デクストラ played a pivotal role in ensuring the robustness of the project’s foundation by supplying ソニテック Crosshole Sonic Logging (CSL) testing tubes. These tubes were instrumental in conducting comprehensive structural integrity tests on the concrete piles of AVE Palencia-Santander USR Package 1 (Palencia – Palencia Norte) and Package 2 (Palencia Norte – Amusco).

ソニテック tubes are specially designed for Crosshole Sonic Logging, ensuring precise and reliable data collection during structural integrity tests. These tubes are embedded in the concrete piles during construction, providing access points for the sonic wave transmission.

High-Speed Rail Access Channel in Valencia – Phase 1

High Speed Rail Access Channel in Valencia – Phase 1

The High-Speed Rail Access Channel project in Valencia represents a transformative initiative aimed at enhancing connectivity, bolstering economic growth, and fostering sustainable development within the region and beyond. As such, ensuring the reliability and longevity of its infrastructure components is paramount. This is where デクストラ steps in with its cutting-edge solutions.

The utilization of ソニテック tubes for crosshole sonic logging (CSL) testing exemplifies Dextra’s commitment to pioneering technologies that optimize construction processes and elevate industry standards. CSL testing is a non-destructive technique utilized to assess the integrity of deep foundation elements such as drilled shafts and bored piles. By transmitting ultrasonic pulses between pairs of probes embedded within concrete piles, CSL testing enables engineers to detect defects, voids, or anomalies that could compromise structural stability.

In the context of the High-Speed Rail Access Channel project, Dextra’s provision of 60,000 linear meters of ソニテック tubes empower construction teams with a robust methodology for evaluating the quality and integrity of concrete piles. This comprehensive testing approach not only meets regulatory requirements but also instills confidence in the durability and performance of the infrastructure, safeguarding against potential risks and ensuring compliance with stringent safety standards.

The adoption of innovative solutions like ソニテック tubes underscores the evolution of construction practices towards greater efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability. By enabling early detection of potential issues and facilitating timely remediation measures, Dextra’s technology not only enhances project outcomes but also minimizes disruptions, reduces costs, and enhances overall project resilience.

As the High-Speed Rail Access Channel in Valencia moves forward, Dextra’s contribution serves as a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation in shaping the future of infrastructure. By harnessing the latest technologies and best practices, デクストラ and its partners are not only building bridges and tunnels, but forging pathways to prosperity, connectivity, and sustainable development for generations to come.
