Port Autonome de Pointe-Noire

Le Port Autonome de Pointe-Noire (PAPN) est un important port maritime situé sur l'océan Atlantique, en République du Congo. Relié à la capitale, Brazzaville, par une liaison ferroviaire de 500 km, il joue un rôle essentiel dans le développement régional, facilitant les échanges avec les pays voisins comme la République démocratique du Congo, l'Angola et le Gabon. Avec plus de 600 000 conteneurs transitant chaque année, le trafic du port ne cesse de croître.

Pour soutenir les ambitieux plans de développement du PAPN, Dextra a collaboré avec l'entrepreneur SAIPEM pour l'ingénierie et la fourniture de structures en acier pour plusieurs des quais de 16 mètres de profondeur de Pointe-Noire.

Entre 2011 et 2012, Dextra a fourni environ 1 000 tonnes de Barres de liaison marines en nuance 700, la plus élevée de notre gamme. Ces nuances supérieures offrent un meilleur rapport performance/acier, permettant d'utiliser des barres de plus petit diamètre, ce qui se traduit par des économies de logistique et d'installation.

Dextra a également fourni des poutres de filière installées sur les murs combinés. Ces poutres servent d'interface entre les murs en acier et les tirants de grand diamètre. Comme les poutres de filière supportent les tirants, leur forme, leur espacement et leur installation doivent être adaptés à la configuration des tirants. Pour garantir la compatibilité et simplifier l'installation, Dextra recommande systématiquement de concevoir et de livrer les poutres de filière en même temps que les tirants.

De 2015 à 2016, Dextra a participé à une deuxième phase du projet de construction du Quai D.

Terminal à conteneurs MultiRio

The MultiRio Container Terminal, located in the Rio de Janeiro Port, specializes in the import/export of finished goods. To increase its shipping capacity by at least 50%, MultiRio launched an expansion project in 2012 to add extra quay length and accommodate more containers.

To support this pier expansion, Dextra partnered with contractor Andrade Gutierrez for the engineering and supply of Marine Tie Bars.

In 2014, Dextra supplied 100 tons of steel rods in medium diameters M56 and M59. The rods were anchored to the wall using swivel plates and nuts, allowing for 5° multidirectional adjustment.

These plates were positioned onto the waler beams, which were also supplied by Dextra. Waler beams are installed onto the sheet piles, and their design is directly influenced by the chosen Marine Tie Bars solution. For example, the spacing of the beams is impacted by the diameter of the bars and the angle of the rods.

Between the wall, Hinge couplers were installed in line to allow for additional vertical tolerance. This was necessary to counteract ground settlement, which can occur over time due to the heavy cranes operating and the piles of stored containers. The Hinge couplers provided the flexibility needed to accommodate any vertical movement and ensure the stability of the structure.

Singapore SLNG No.2: A Key LNG Hub in Southeast Asia

The Singapore LNG (SLNG) No.2 terminal is a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility located in Singapore. The terminal houses four large LNG storage tanks and is capable of receiving the largest LNG carriers, including Q-Max carriers. As a strategic LNG hub for Southeast Asia, the terminal plays a crucial role in the region’s energy infrastructure.

For the Singapore LNG offloading facility, Dextra assisted contractor Samsung with the design and supply of a complete marine tie bar system, used to reinforce the sheet pile walls.

Dextra tie bar assemblies were manufactured using Grade 500 steel and were anchored to the sheet pile walls using waling beams, plates, and nuts.
To facilitate installation and provide flexibility, large-diameter ball cages were installed, allowing a multidirectional rotation angle of ±10°.

Additionally, to adjust tie rod lengths and splice long tie bars together, turnbuckles were supplied as part of the system.
