Métro de Lucknow – Phase 1

The Lucknow Metro project is built to serve the growing population of Uttar Pradesh, North India, as well as to serve the areas that are not connected by the existing rail system. The 35km rail system comprises 22 stations, of which 19 will be elevated.

The first phase of the project consists construction of 2 rail lines (North- South and East-West corridor), connecting the four corners of Lucknow by running through the heart of the city. Being implemented by Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC), the Phase 1 comprises the construction of 22.8km long North-South corridor.

The priority section is the 8.5 kilometers linking Transport Nagar to Charbagh.
Once operational, the Lucknow Metro will help ease the traffic in the city, and will also reduce commuters’ travel time.

The 37km-long Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) is a light rail line under development in Malaysia. It includes a 35km viaduct and a 2km underground tunnel which will link Bandar Utama with Johan Setia in Klang.

Developed in line with the Greater Kuala Lumpur/Klang Valley (GKL/KV) Land Public Transport Masterplan, LRT3 will play a strategic part in extending rail connectivity to the Western Corridor of GKL/KV.

Dextra provided cuttable Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) soft-eye solutions, installed in diaphragm walls of escape shafts, in order to facilitate the underground tunnel breakthrough by the Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM).

The LRT3 project is expected to serve 2-million people across the alignment by improving connectivity, alleviating traffic congestion and stimulating economic growth along the Western Corridor of Klang Valley, from Klang to Petaling Jaya.

The construction is scheduled for completion by February 2024.

La ligne 3 du métro de Panama est une ligne de monorail longue de 34 km en cours de développement dans le cadre du projet de métro de Panama. Il s'agira du plus grand projet du pays depuis l'agrandissement du canal de Panama.

La ligne établira une connexion entre la province de Panama Oeste et la province de Panama, réduisant de moitié le temps de trajet moyen, de 90 minutes à 45 minutes. Le système de monorail sera le premier à utiliser la technologie japonaise dans les Amériques.

Dextra supplied 260,000 Bartec couplers for the elevated monorail structure’s piling column and precast beam connection.

Sonitec tubes were also used to examine the concrete integrity of bore-piles using the crosshole sonic logging testing method.

La ligne, dont la mise en service est prévue mi-2025, bénéficiera à plus de 500 000 habitants de la province de Panama Oeste.

Métro de Lima

Le métro de Lima est un système de transport en commun rapide au Pérou, reliant actuellement le quartier de Villa El Salvador, au sud de Lima, à San Juan de Lurigancho, au nord-est de la ville. La ligne 1 du métro a commencé ses opérations en 2011 avec 26 stations, totalisant 34,6 kilomètres, la plus longue ligne de métro des Amériques.

Création is proud to contribute to the construction of Metro Line 2 and the initial phase of Line 4, both of which commenced simultaneously in 2016. Line 2, a 27-kilometer fully underground transit route, will seamlessly connect Lima’s Ate district with the Callao region. Meanwhile, the first 8-kilometer segment of Line 4 will serve as a crucial link between Line 2 and the Jorge Chávez International Airport station, enhancing connectivity for commuters and travelers alike.

More than 160,000 Rolltec rebar couplers have been supplied to the Metro construction site to avoid rebar congestion of the traditional overlapping method.

Several types of Rolltec couplers were installed in various parts of the stations’ structures, including standard couplers size #8, #11 and #14, and transition couplers size #8 and #11.

La ligne complète sera opérationnelle en 2024.

Etihad Rail

Etihad Rail

Etihad Rail is a 1,200-kilometer railway project that will be the first national freight and passenger railway network in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), connecting the seven emirates and promoting trade and social development in the country and across the GCC countries.

The railway project is expected to be a sustainable alternative for freight and passenger transportation throughout the Emirate’s urban and rural areas. It is expected to carry approximately 16 million passengers and 50 million tons of cargo. It will make a significant contribution to lowering road traffic emissions.

The Etihad Rail network reaches the borders of Qatar and Saudi Arabia in the west. The western section connects to Saudi Arabia via Ghweifat, while the eastern section connects to Oman via Al Ain. The railway line connects Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai and runs across the Emirate. Then it goes on to the northern emirates and Fujairah.

The rail network will be built in 3 stages. The first phase of the railway network, which opened in 2016, is a 266-kilometer-long western stretch between Al Ruwais and Shah. It connects Ruwais and Habshan, and then Habshan and Shah.

The second phase connects Abu Dhabi with Dubai. It is also linked to the ports of Jebel Ali, Musaffah, and Khalifa. The third phase entails connecting the northern Emirates. The second and third phases are scheduled for completion in 2024.

Dextra is currently supplying various engineered solutions for the second phase of rail network construction, which includes the construction of a 200km main line in Abu Dhabi and a 40km branch line to Khalifa port, a 78km main line in Dubai and a 20km branch line to Jebel Ali port, a 98km main line from Sharjah to Fujairah and a 29km branch line to Tawyeen, as well as associated facilities.

These solutions were delivered to the railway tunnel construction site.

The Circle Line (CCL) is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Singapore. The 35km, 30-station line runs from Dhoby Ghaut to Marina Bay in the Central Area to HarbourFront.

In 2013, the Circle Line stage 6 was announced, a 4km extension to finally close the circle of the CCL by connecting HarbourFront station to Marina Bay station.

Trois stations supplémentaires sont en construction et devraient être opérationnelles en 2025.

Well-known expertise and quality in concrete reinforcement solutions were necessary to tackle this project, and Dextra’s Bartec couplers were chosen for several parts of the Circle Line structure, including starter bars, slabs, and column joints.

A la fin du projet, environ 200 000 coupleurs seront livrés sur site.

Moreover, Création provided 3,000m of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) rebars, that can boast some key benefits with respect to metal rebars: a lighter weight, no risk of corrosion, and a lower susceptibility to attract lightning strikes.

On top of that, Création was entrusted with the reinforcement of the concrete structure of the tunnels: 8 Astec Soft-Eyes were used to facilitate the penetration of the Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) through diaphragm walls, thanks to their innovative cuttable GFRP structure.

The Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works Relocation project was aimed to relocate the Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works (STW) in Sha Tin, Hong Kong, which is currently located at the mouth of the Shing Mun River, to the cavern site at Nui Po Shan of A Kung Kok on the opposite bank, freeing up the existing site for uses beneficial to people’s livelihood and improving the local living environment.

The future Sha Tin Cavern STW will be the largest of its kind in Hong Kong, occupying 14 hectares of land. It will have the same treatment capacity as the current site, but will use advanced sewage treatment technology to meet local population demands and improve services for residents.

For the tunneling works, Dextra has supplied around 800 pieces of GEOTEC™ GFRP rock-bolts for the tunnel’s temporary supporting.

GEOTEC™ GFRP rock-bolts are made of cut-able glass fiber reinforced polymers, making them perfect for face bolting or any other tunneling and mining application where further excavation is required.

Forest City Johor 森林城市

Forest City est un vaste développement urbain à usage mixte se déroulant à la pointe sud de la Malaisie, dans la région d'Iskandar, à Johor. Le développement se déroule sur des terres récupérées juste de l’autre côté du détroit de Johor, en vue de Singapour.

Le projet, qui se poursuivra au cours de la prochaine décennie, vise à terme la création de 300 000 unités résidentielles, pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 700 000 personnes, ainsi que de nombreux bâtiments commerciaux.

The Forest City project is expected to fuel the region’s economy, as well as Singapore, as light rail and road links will ultimately make the connection across the island state.

Création has been involved since the early phases of the project for the supply of its Groutec S_ precast solution. Groutec allow the swift connection of precast columns and panels, without the need of in situ joints, speeding up the construction project. For the Forest City Project, Groutec S des coupleurs (modèles compacts) ont été utilisés pour relier les panneaux constituant les murs de contreventement des tours résidentielles.

The Forest City project is supported by the installation at site of several sets of Bartec threading equipment, which prepare the bars with threads in order to perform the connection with the top part of the Groutec S_ sleeve. The Dextra aftersales team also provided training and support in order to guarantee high production output during the project duration.

At the core of this groundbreaking project lies meticulous engineering, and one crucial component that contributes to its success is the use of Dextra Groutec couplers for the precast shear wall module connections.

This vertical farm employs cutting-edge technology to cultivate a diverse range of crops in a controlled environment. AVE Palencia-Santander TGV Forfait 1 (Palencia – Palencia Norte) & Forfait 2 (Palencia Norte – Amusco)

AVE Palencia-Santander high-speed rail project is a significant infrastructure undertaking aimed at connecting Palencia and Santander in Spain. This project involves the construction of extensive railway networks, viaducts, and bridges, underscoring the need for a strong and resilient foundation. Recognising the critical importance of ensuring the structural integrity of the concrete piles, the project management sought advanced testing methodologies.

Création played a pivotal role in ensuring the robustness of the project’s foundation by supplying Sonitec Crosshole Sonic Logging (CSL) testing tubes. These tubes were instrumental in conducting comprehensive structural integrity tests on the concrete piles of AVE Palencia-Santander USR Package 1 (Palencia – Palencia Norte) and Package 2 (Palencia Norte – Amusco).

Crosshole Sonic Logging est une méthode de test non destructif largement utilisée pour évaluer la qualité et l’intégrité des pieux en béton. Il s'agit de l'utilisation d'ondes sonores transmises à travers le béton entre deux tubes d'accès, permettant aux ingénieurs d'évaluer les propriétés du matériau et d'identifier les défauts potentiels.

Sonitec tubes are specially designed for Crosshole Sonic Logging, ensuring precise and reliable data collection during structural integrity tests. These tubes are embedded in the concrete piles during construction, providing access points for the sonic wave transmission.
