MSG Sphere, USA
MSG Sphere is an under-construction music and entertainment venue in Paradise, Nevada, near the Las Vegas Strip. The sphere-shaped venue will have a capacity of 18,000 and will feature LED screens both inside and outside.
The indoor spherical digital display panel will span the entire interior of the venue, while an exterior screen will broadcast live visuals from inside. The venue will also include new bars, private suites, a museum, and retail space.
Standing 360 feet tall and 516 feet wide, the Sphere is being built on 18 acres off Sands Avenue, between Manhattan Street and Koval Lane. Dextra Bartec coupleurs de barres d'armature et barres à tête have been used to connect and reinforce the columns, murs de noyau, and beams of the building’s structure.
Bartec rebar couplers are designed to splice rebars of the same or different diameters, whether or not one bar can be rotated. Bartec-spliced bars provide full strength in tension, compression, and stress reversal applications. The mechanical Solution de raboutage is accredited by major independent regulatory bodies, including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, UK CARES, and Bureau Veritas.
Barres à tête are also used to replace Epingle as end anchorages in congested areas, reducing lap lengths for beam-column connections. Standard mechanical anchorages are circular in shape and are attached by threading onto the rebar.
The construction of MSG Sphere is expected to be completed in 2021.
