Dextra plays a vital role in ensuring the structural integrity of the bridge by supplying Sonitec crosshole sonic logging (CSL) testing tubes for the testing of piles. Ensuring Robust Connections with Bartec Rebar Couplers

Dextra supplied nearly 2 million Bartec rebar couplers, essential for creating secure connections across various structural components. These couplers have been utilized extensively in the connections for diaphragm wall (d-wall) caging and slabs, pile cages, piers, and pier caps. By ensuring high-strength rebar connections, Bartec couplers contribute to the overall durability and resilience of the metro structure, particularly important in a densely populated and busy urban environment like Chennai.

Precision Testing with Sonitec CSL Testing Tubes

To ensure the highest standards of concrete integrity, Dextra provided over 80,000 Sonitec crosshole sonic logging (CSL) testing tubes. These tubes facilitate rigorous testing of piles and d-walls, helping to identify potential flaws within the concrete structure. This meticulous testing process enables project engineers to detect and address any irregularities, safeguarding the integrity and longevity of the metro’s foundations.

Supporting Complex Structures with CR Bar 1080 Post-Tensioning Bars

For the support of double-decker piers and the pre-tensioning of U-girders, Dextra supplied 68 CR Bar 1080 post-tensioning bars. These high-strength, fully threaded bars are critical in handling the complex loads and stresses that the elevated sections of the metro will endure. The inclusion of these bars ensures that the metro can withstand heavy traffic and operational demands over time, contributing to the long-term safety and functionality of the infrastructure.

Facilitating Tunnel Boring with GFRP Soft-Eyes

In the tunneling phase, Dextra also provided 42 GFRP soft-eyes, specifically designed for tunnel boring machine (TBM) operations. These soft-eyes allow TBMs to pass through concrete walls smoothly, ensuring safe and efficient tunneling while reducing the risk of structural damage. GFRP’s non-corrosive properties make it an ideal choice for underground construction, where durability and performance are paramount.

CR Bar 1080 for U-Girder Stressing and Pre-Tensioning

One of the critical components of the project is the elevated section of the metro, which relies on U-girders for support. To enhance the strength and resilience of these U-girders, Dextra supplied its innovative CR Bar 1080 cold-rolled fully threaded post-tensioning bars. These bars, with a diameter of 75mm, are specifically designed to withstand high stress during both U-girder stressing and pre-tensioning operations. The hexagonal nuts provided as part of the system allow for secure fastening and easy adjustment, ensuring precise tensioning to meet the structural demands.

 

Fully Threaded (FT) Bar for Segment Stitching and Temporary Stressing

For segment stitching and temporary stressing operations during the construction of the metro viaduct, Dextra supplied its fully threaded (FT) bars. These bars provide secure connections between precast segments and offer flexibility for adjustments during the stitching process, ensuring that the structural alignment is perfect before the segments are permanently joined.

Unitec Couplers for Rebar Connections

In addition, Dextra supplied Unitec couplers, designed for connecting rebars at construction sites without the need for pre-threading. These couplers offer a convenient and robust solution, allowing for seamless connection of two rebars, ensuring structural continuity and strength without delays in the construction process.

Sonitec CSL Testing Tubes for Concrete Pile Integrity

In addition to supplying post-tensioning bars, Dextra also provided Sonitec Crosshole Sonic Logging (CSL) testing tubes for the integrity testing of the concrete piles supporting the metro structures. These tubes enable highly accurate non-destructive testing of the concrete, allowing engineers to detect any potential flaws or weaknesses in the piles. This testing is vital for ensuring the piles meet the necessary strength and quality standards, thereby supporting the entire metro system safely and effectively.

Marina Bay Sands

Marina Bay Sands

Marina Bay Sands es un complejo espectacular que cuenta con más de 2500 habitaciones, un casino y muchos restaurantes, coronado por un jardín en el cielo único. El proyecto se completó y abrió al público en 2010.

Para este proyecto, Dextra suministró entre 2007 y 2008 soluciones para el empalme de armaduras, así como tubos Sonitec.

Se utilizaron acopladores de barras de refuerzo Bartec en los cimientos de los muros pantalla, respondiendo a un doble desafío.

Los primeros acopladores de barras de refuerzo se pueden usar verticalmente para conectar las jaulas D-Wall, lo que permite lograr una longitud de jaula más larga.

Entonces los acopladores también se pueden utilizar horizontalmente como conexiones pendientes para losas. En ese caso, el acoplador generalmente se instala en barras de gancho y se vierte en concreto. En una etapa posterior, el acoplador se puede volver a conectar con la barra de refuerzo de la segunda fase para iniciar el refuerzo de la losa.

También se utilizaron acopladores para túneles subterráneos y edificios de ventilación.

Para los cimientos, Dextra también suministró más de 100.000 metros lineales de tubos Sonitec, que son fáciles de instalar en jaulas de refuerzo y volver a conectar, aumentando la productividad y eliminando la necesidad de operaciones de soldadura tediosas y poco fiables. Una vez instalados, los tubos quedan firmemente en su lugar, soportando sin problemas el levantamiento y manipulación de la jaula.

El aeropuerto de Dubai es el principal aeropuerto de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos. El famoso aeropuerto, situado a pocos kilómetros al norte de la ciudad de Dubai, es sede de la famosa aerolínea Emirates. El Aeropuerto Internacional de Dubai es el aeropuerto #1 del mundo en términos de tráfico internacional de pasajeros.

Dextra Middle-East, también ubicada en Dubai, ha participado en numerosos paquetes de construcción del aeropuerto de Dubai, especialmente entre los años 2003 y 2005, para la construcción de la Terminal 3 y las salas asociadas.

Para Dubai Internal Project, Dextra ha suministrado su popular
bartec Solución de acoplador, solución de acoplador de barras de refuerzo #1 en los Emiratos Árabes Unidos. En el aeropuerto internacional de Dubái se han utilizado 1,5 millones de acopladores.

Superestructura

Los acopladores Bartec proporcionaron una solución técnica para permitir la reconexión del refuerzo de la segunda fase entre columnas y vigas, y entre muros y vigas.

También se utilizaron acopladores de barras de refuerzo para crear aberturas temporales en el refuerzo, permitiendo el paso de personas y equipos.

Cimientos

Para los pilotes de cimentación se utilizaron acopladores Bartec. Para esa aplicación, los acopladores pasaron a formar parte de un proceso de fabricación de jaulas muy integrado y automatizado, lo que permitió conectar barras de refuerzo de gran diámetro en un tiempo mínimo y maximizar la producción de jaulas.

Como complemento a la solución de acoplador de barras de refuerzo de Bartec, se utilizaron tubos Dextra Sonitec para garantizar una rápida instalación y reconexión de los tubos sónicos a lo largo de toda la jaula. Los tubos Sonitec son especialmente fáciles de instalar, gracias a su boca de goma Push-Fit, y fáciles de instalar en la jaula gracias a sus cabezales soldados. ¡A lo largo de los años se han instalado más de 1.800.000 metros de tubos Sonitec en el aeropuerto internacional de Dubái!

BTS de Bangkok

El sistema de transporte masivo de Bangkok (BTS) es un gran sistema de tren aéreo urbano ubicado en Bangkok, la capital de Tailandia. El sistema fue inaugurado en 1999.

A partir de 2017, el sistema consta de 24 estaciones elevadas y 37 km de vías elevadas organizadas en dos líneas principales que se cruzan en la estación central de Siam.

El sistema BTS está realizando una ampliación de sus dos líneas principales y se espera que segmentos de línea y estaciones entren en funcionamiento en 2019 y 2020.

Cimientos

Para varios paquetes a lo largo de los años, Dextra ha suministrado tubos Sonitec, que se utilizan para probar los cimientos de pilotes de hormigón debajo de las estaciones y los rieles.

En total, Dextra suministró aproximadamente 40.000 metros lineales de tubos Sonitec, una distancia realmente equivalente a la longitud del propio sistema BTS.

Para conexiones de barras verticales de pilones, Dextra ofrece su
bartec conexión.
bartec permite empalmar cómodamente jaulas de barras de refuerzo prefabricadas mediante el uso de un acoplador de barras de refuerzo simple, lo que permite ahorrar acero en comparación con el traslape y acelera las operaciones en el sitio.

En Tailandia, la operación de roscado cuenta con el respaldo de la fábrica de Dextra, convenientemente ubicada en el noreste de Bankgok. Los contratistas reciben las barras de refuerzo ya preparadas y montadas con su acoplador de barras de refuerzo.
