Ras Abu Aboud Stadium is a football stadium under construction in Doha, Qatar, with a capacity of 40,000 spectators.

This project has been specifically designed to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The stadium features a modular design, incorporating recycled shipping containers, removable seats, and other modular building blocks. After the tournament, it will be completely dismantled and repurposed.

Dextra supplied more than 600 sets of carbon steel tension rods for the cross-bracing of the roofing and bowl structures, as well as for staircases, catwalks, and ramps. The tension rods range in bar thread size from M20 (diameter 19 mm) to M72 (diameter 70 mm).

Upon its expected completion in 2020, Ras Abu Aboud Stadium will set a new standard in sustainable construction design.
