Forrestfield-Airport Link

Connect the city with Dextra solutions

Australia’s 8.5-kilometer Forrestfield-Airport Link is a rail service under construction in Perth, Western Australia. It will open in 2020 and allow both locals and tourists to easily commute from the airport to the city and the eastern suburbs.

The project features two twin-tunnels bored with Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs), which move up to 26 meters underneath the bed of Swan river, highways and Perth Airport, adding three new stations to Perth’s transportation network: Belmont, Airport Central and Forrestfield. For this project, different Dextra solutions have been used, among them the GFRP Soft-Eyes, Sonitec CSL tubes and high performance rebar connections Griptec.
