Fujairah Port: A Key Maritime Hub in the UAE
The Port of Fujairah, located in the emirate of Fujairah on the Gulf of Oman, is the only multi-purpose deep-sea port on the eastern seaboard of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Strategically positioned 130 km south of the Strait of Hormuz, it serves as a crucial gateway for international trade and energy exports.
Dextra was involved in the expansion of the port between 2007 and 2008.
Oil Terminal 2 (OT2)
For the new Oil Terminal 2 (OT2), Dextra engineered and supplied the Marine Tie Bar systems used for the anchoring of the Main Quay walls.
More than 1,400 tons of Verbindungsstangen were provided for this large-scale project.
Südliche Wellenbrecherliegeplätze
In 2008, Dextra also engineered and supplied Marine Tie Bar systems for the anchoring of the Tugs Jetty, Craft Docks, and Main Quay Wall. Short Marine-Krawattenstange assemblies were installed between King Pile Walls.
To facilitate transportation and installation, high-performance Grade 700 steel was selected, allowing for a higher level of performance with relatively smaller diameters.
