The revitalization of a UK landmark
Battersea Power Station, fully decommissioned almost 40 years ago, is being redeveloped in one of UK’s biggest ever construction projects.
The seven-phased redevelopment venture is estimated to be worth £8bn ($13bn).
The 3rd phase consists in the creation of the so-called ‘Electric Boulevard’, which will in
clude a connection to the Northern Line Extension station, more than 1,300 residential units, a 160-room hotel, retail spaces, restaurants and leisure facilities.
The wide range of concrete reinforcement solutions provided by Dextra was proven to be ideal for this iconic project.
Different ranges of couplers
have been supplied for cast-in-situ, precast and repair applications, specifically:
- 100,000 Griptec and Rolltec cast-in-situ couplers
- 30,000 Groutec precast couplers
- 3,000 Unitec bolted couplers

New Sonitec V2
Sonitec is a tube solution designed to facilitate the integrity testing of foundations using the Cross Sonic Logging (CSL) testing method.
The release of this new version represents an important milestone for Dextra, bringing some unique features to the market:
- Cold expansion technique with a limited residual stress around the hole
- Sturdy shape without thermal deformations
- Rubber seals are standardized and can easily be outsourced and replaced
