Cylingas Reservoirs
Cylingas gas tanks are part of the industrial complex of Cylingas located at Al Quoz, United Arab Emirates.
For the installation of new gas tanks, Dextra has supplied its tension bar systems. Tension Bars were used for the cross-bracing of the tank footing structure. Carbon steel rods in Grade 355 and in diameter 120mm (thread M123) were chosen for this application, delivered with forks, lock covers and turnbuckles. A total of 48 sets were installed in total for this project.
The assemblies were fixed onto the pilons by the use of gusset plates connected to the forks. Turnbuckles were used for the splicing in the lower part of the assembly, to ease installation. Turnbuckles allow some length adjustment and stressing of the assembly by bringing closer 2 segments of bars.
