The Viaducto del Manglar project is a 5.3 km bridge project spanning over the Ciénaga de la Virgen (swamp), north of the City of Cartagena, Colombia. The project aims to reduce traffic congestion when exiting the city in the Zona Norte (North Area).

The viaduct, which aims for opening in 2018, is part a longer highway project linking the city of Cartagena with the city of Baranquilla.

For this project in Colombia, Dextra has been supplying contractor Rizzani de Eccher with Rolltec rebar couplers and Headed Bars. Rebar preparation operations has been performed by Dextra distributor in Colombia.

Headed Bars were used in precast caissons, installed below the bridge girders, as a way to reduce steel congestion in the heavily reinforced steel cages.
